Between Today and Tomorrow

  • Operator: What’s your confirmation number?
  • Me: EPHZV0
  • Operator: And when is your departure?
  • Me: Today
  • Operator: I’m sorry sir, but that’s not correct. You must tell me the correct date. Is there another day you’d like to try?
  • Me: Um, maybe… tomorrow?
  • Operator: Yes, that’s much better. I’m glad you got your dates right. Thank you for being smart enough to fly US Airways.

If you got a paper with a printed URL, that ended with ‘Page____60336.aspx’, how many underscores would you type? The correct answer is four. But why?

Outlook Reply/Draft Stupidity

  1. Select an email in Outlook 2003
  2. Click Reply and type some gibberish
  3. Wait for Outlook to auto-save the draft
  4. Close the message window
  5. Select No when Outlook wants to keep the draft

Now you have an unread message in Trash, and the selected email is still marked as replied to. Very annoying.

Why do people use the word permalink? If a link isn’t permanent, it shouldn’t be a link! Stop calling it that, it’s confusing. Every link is sacred!
